a question about tamiya rims?

allright as you guys know i just got the tamiya porsche kit.......but i was wonderin are the rims supposed to come allready done like painted or am i supposed to paint them?..............cause they didnt come painted with mine......

Depends on the kit. The new Impreza kits come with prepainted wheels, the rest you have to paint yourself. For example, the R-34 V-Spec kit comes with chrome wheels, but the box art (and the intructions tell you as well) shows the wheels being a gunmetal color. I just bought a can of gunmetal gray and sprayed them and they came out just fine. Some wheels should be brush painted, like the ones on the Tom's Supra kit, white spokes with a chrome rim.

if i recall correctly you have to paint it gloss aluminum or white if the body is painted white.

Hi, its me your twin (cuz we bought the same model on the same day)
This is the only kit i've built that hasn't had the wheels painted chrome, maybe because its an old kit. I dunno, but anyways i'm gona slap some X11 and polish it.
