Tiny Ferrari!

Sennake's wonderful Rosso Ferrari got me thinking, so I decided to post some pics of the F2000 Ferrari I'm working on at the moment. It's a little smaller than his, as it's a 1:43 by Tameo. It's still a wonderful kit however. If anyone has been thinking about building one of these, I can full recommend them. They are quite a challenge due to their size, but I think they look really nice when done. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Rear suspension lowers in place, need to finish the rear brakes, hubs and drive shafts before the uppers can go on.

Front suspension done bar carbon-fibre decals, completed brakes and hubs. Still some small etched parts to add under the front wing.

Next to a Tamiya spray can to compare the sizes.

Le Mans Miniatures makes a line of 1:87the scale (H/O IIRC) Le Mans racers...makes 1:43rd look big and 1:24th look HUGE...;-)>

Nice looking Ferrari! I read good reviews about this Tameo kit and it looks like it's coming together well.
How fiddly are these 1/43 kits? I've been thinking of trying a kit this size but I'm worried my fumble-fingers would make a mess of such small pieces :o

I won't lie, 1:43 is fiddley... especially the brakes, hubs and suspension. But they are great fun, and the Tameo kits are every bit as good at going together smoothly as Tamiya's 1:24 offerings. You should see the late 70's McLaren by bro is doing. Full engine, wiring and plumbing in 1:43. Way cool.
Sennake - love the Ferraris. I saw the 333 race at Le Mans in '96 and it's still the best sounding race car I've ever heard. That V12 at full chat out on the Mulssanne is amazing.
More pics soon, I'm just carbon fibering the suspension arms at the moment :D

A few more pics for those that are interested

Rear end is now finished, and most of the suspension arms are decalled with carbon fibre and the gold foil heat protection for the exhausts. All the brakes and hubs are also in place.

Interior is pretty much done. The etched belts were a doddle to work with. Need to get the stearing wheel done next, which is a model in it's own right!
Oh, and for those that thought the front wing was crocked, it's not actually glued on:D
