stock head unit removal

what is the eisiest way to get the stock head unit out and what kind of kit do i need to get a new one to fit in their?thanks

That is a nice little schematic of how to get the dash apart to get to the head unit. I'm not sure what kind of "kit" you need to put an aftermarket deck in, chances are you will just need a wiring harness that you can find at most electronics places

it has a new clutch and it comes stock with 210hp and 215tq thats all that i can tell from driving it and the sticker on the window . nissan dealership is getting me the dyno chart but it looks exactly like the spec-v engine but u can feel the diffenrece . it has no mods like intake or exhaust so i can see a potential with 210hp. add intake and exhaust and i should e movin pretty good.

ohh yeah and the emblems i am makeing a site as we speak with some pics.

do you happen to have a picture of the window sticker? I have never heard of a nismo edition spec-v

210HP. please show the sticker. never heard of the NISMO version, if it is indeed 210 it would be nice to see the sticker. I wanted the YELLOW. nice car by the way.:bloated:

That is very confusing to me since I talked to me dealer and they have never heard of such an option. Also the Nissan website has nothing to say about it and you would think that since they are trying to hype up NISMO in the US that if they had a special NISMO edition of anything that you could get from a dealer they would be saying something about it . Wishful thinking is not a bad thing but until i see a window sticker saying what it is, thats all it will be, wishful thinking.
Also if they do proclaim 210hp with the same engine with no CAI, Headers, or nothing I want to know what they did so I can do those things to my 02.

Either way man enjoy your ride because they are bad a$$ and I've loved mine since the day that i got it.

I work at nissan and there is no NISMO version of spec V but that is not to say you are lying. Many times dealers will add aftermarket parts to a car before it is sold this must be case for your car :)

Sounds like he bought it from that other guy saying it was a Nismo edition. That dealership seems to be praying on people who are new to Nissan. I'd file a report w/the BBB!!! Friggin lying dealerships!!! Hate em!!!

I think that is the same car that's been posted in previous threads that claimed NISMO EDITION. Dood, you really need to post the MSRP sticker and the damn window sticker. I think everyone is freakn curious to see.

Though the Nissan sales guy might be right, I strongly urge you to find out exactly what is making your Spec run at 210hp. How much did you pay for this particular Spec??
