Okay I got a question, Tamiya AS serial paint, what are they and how come I can't find them anywhere.
Looking for AS-20 Insignia White
AS-12 Bare metal
What other paints will equal to these ones, suggestion
For bare metal are there an acladII paint that will look like it.

Hey here is a link for the Insignia White, ur looking for. The paint color is for Aircraft models thats why u couldnt find it. http://www.hlj.com/images/tam/tamas-20box.gif

hmm is there other paint with simialr color because need them to complete my cars.
For the bare metal will alcald paint do I was thinking of using the stell color one. As for the white I am not sure which to use. Any suggestion?

The kit that calls for AS-20 is the Mercedes CLK DTM Original Teile, right?
It's confusing, because in the pictures the Mercedes looks like a brownish white, but an aircraft modeler told me that Insignia White was used for the white that makes up the five-pointed star inside the USAF logo, which is pretty bright white. So I don't know if the Federal Standard will be accurate for the Mercedes..

yeah the white is for the clk, so i am not sure which white to use now.
As for the bare metal is for the loctite r34 race car. That I am thinking of using the alcad2 steel or aluminium

I beleive Insignia white is the white used on US Navy jets. And that's what the Mercedes look like. If you want to mix paints like I am going to. I would mix a slight amount of a light grey into white. I am going to use Krylon White mixed with a touch of their Pewter Grey. The AS paints and others in that color are going to be flat paints that will need to be clear coated.
