undercarriage lights

i used to have a 89 accord with purple undercarriage lights. i've seen photos of cars with undercarriage light, how the hell do they get them so bright, i was thinking maybe they install two sets of gold series?

By undercarraige do you mean underbody neons? If so streetglow sells nice kits.

alright let me tell you my story

i used to have an 89 accord that i installed blue series street glow purple undercarriage lights on. they were fairly bright. then i installed gold series street glow green uncarriage lights on my friends eclipse. they were of course brighter. i have seen on the internet and in magizines people with undercarriage lights that are freakin bright as hell.

and for those of you who dont know

street glow sells two kinds of undercarriage kits (YES UNDERBODY)
Blue Series (entry level)
Gold Series (comp level)

some people use LED bars instead of neons, cuz they're more durable, just more expensive. those are brighter. also the more dirt and crap on them would lower the brightness.

Its all about the color, purple is a color that doesnt get very bright because of its location in the color spectrum. Colors like yellow/reds/white are obviously going to get the brightest, hell even blue would be brighter. Its also dependant on the output of the transformer. The Gold Series from street glow uses a 9500v transformer (I dare yah to stick your tounge to it) which is like the highest output available for underbody neons right now - which is why your friends looked brighter.

Reactor, a newer company also claims a 9500v transformer in their "RU" series of kits - though they cost half as much as Street Glow so im not sure of the quality. The only neon kits I can comment on are the Ichibahn kits, as Ive sold boat loads of them - very good quality kits.

would two sets of gold series be worth the extra brightness?

i think they would be brighter, but why dont you get the leds, on ebay they are less then 2 air of gold series undercariage lights. just go on ebay and type in" led underbody ".
