Cwest ITR/RX-7

I am starting a new custom project and thought i would share it with all my friends on AF

it will take a lot of work but i think i can pull it off!

I am using the front piece from the Aoshima Cwest RX-7 and the side part from the RX-7 where the little air vent is

Well since youve ruined a good CWEST RX7 kit, send me the rims and decal sheet.

anything that i have to say about this car can and will get me banned, so i'm not going to say anything except for if you're not using the wheels/decals may i please have them.

The Cwest kit came with factory wheels and those ugly rider wheels, i gave the ricer wheels to a friend, so if you want the factory wheels PM me, i dont have the decal sheet either!

please tell me that you did not just call Advan RG's, perhaps the best racing/drift wheel in the world and also one of the lightest in weight, a ricer wheel. you see the car in my signature? that's a Nissan Laurel C33 that competed in the D1 Drift Championship in Japan. it also happens to sport around 400hp or so, and can pull a nice drift at about 70mph. also notice that the only body modifications made to this car are the wing on the back (which actually does something for this car since it's RWD) and the decals of the tuning shop that put it together (not decals of parts that aren't on the car). it has the same wheels on it that you just called "ricer wheels". i think you should re-think your definition.

Ricer wheels??? Those are Advan Racing Gymkhana wheels. Theyre specially made for auto cross and many Japanese N1 teams such as the ADVAN Rigid GAB RX7 and numerous EVO7 race cars employ them.'

Get them off your friends and send em here!

i agree with that....i always like to use the term "potato" cars to refer to those western cars...but i stop using them in this forum....

i've already explained many many times that when i say the word rice it doesn't, and won't ever, mean it in the racial sense. i'm not going to go changing my vocabulary because of what a couple of people think, so i'm sorry if i offended you because i didn't mean too.

on a side-bar, i know some asian people that throw the word rice around like it's going out of style (which it is, actually...)

I'm not really offended by the words, but it bothers me that people say things w/o regard to the potential audience. I'm one of the least politically correct people there is, but things said to a group in person are far different than typed on a message board. You can't always tell whether it's serious or not, you can't exactly get the tone of the comment. And one never knows who they might upset or not, even if not intended. Therefore it's just common sense that someone should be careful of what they say/type.

Reminds me of a story about a guy exclaiming in front of a group of people "laywers are all a bunch of assholes!".

Someone in the group exclaims "hey, watch it-I resent that remark".

The first guy asks "why, are you a lawyer?"

I just dont understand buying some thing super expensive and you cant even notice a difference of the body in the pics, I look at a pic of a skyline with the Nismo kit and dont even notice it, i look at one with out it and they both look the same, The advan wheels are ugly as hell, they are on every single japanese race car, so that makes it worse, Every one thinks that body kits weigh so much but they really dont, i cna pick up a Black widow back piece with 3 fingers, Maybe im more in to all show and no go,

To me rice is as follows: lots of stickers(more than 5-10) on any car, even race cars, metal wings on FWD cars, Ugly ass wheels that are not the following colors: chrome, white, silver, and gun metal. any pick up truck that is on air bags or lowered, TRI STAR WHEELS ON ANY CAR IS RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cars with primered body kits,

most of the people that have real show cars, dont think of their cars as fast just cause they have 2 stickers on it, and really, think about it, i dont think any one really thinks their cars faster cause of a few extra stickers

you'd be surprised what people with stickers and nothing else think.

yep go ahead, they are so ugly, a truck is met for off roading in the mud, not for some weekend cruising down the strip car

now, on to what supratuner said (and this is not a personal attack, it's a discussion). you're into all show and no go. to me, that is rice. "let's make a car that's not actually fast LOOK like it's fast and then tell everyone that it's fast." now to me that's just dumb. car's are for DRIVING, not for sitting at a show and looking good. and i already explained to you about the Nismo body kits. you're right, it doesn't change the looks of the Skyline much. but that's a GOOD thing. i HATE big body kits on Skylines. it is made with subtle changes to make the car more aerodynamic and also to feed more cold air to vital parts, such as the brakes, intercooler and other parts of the engine. it's not FOR the looks, because people with fast cars don't care about looks! it's the same with the Advans, they're lightweight and also have very open spokes so that more air is fed to the brakes, unlike those friggin chromies that you like that weigh 22lbs each and have 2 inch holes in them. the car in my signature lost it's front end while performing a 70mph drift. the only reason it has stickers on it is to give recognition to the garage that built it and the parts makers that have parts on his car and sponsored him. he doesn't have any stickers for parts that aren't on his car, and he doesn't have any that say "No Fear" or "Type R". you can keep your "nice clean" slow as hell ugly show car, meanwhile i'll keep my "ugly" 400hp drift machine and have FUN while driving my car instead of worrying about how it looks and what everyone else thinks of it.

Exactly! It doesn't matter (aerodynamically-speaking) if the car is FWD, RWD, or AWD, but this is too off-topic, go to the technical forum for this (IIRC, there was the same topic discussed either in the technical or in Honda racing forum).

Alright lets get this straghit here.

Supratuner doesnt care about getting stomped by an ugly looking car(as he thinks), he jsut wants to make women and impress people.

Obviously, me S13 and Endlesskev like cars because we enjoy the technological aspects of how bodykits work, and how Advan RGs are structurally tough(which is why theyre used for Gymkhana) and why they weigh practically nothing.


Also Supratuner-The point is for S13's sig car NOT to have a front valance cause its gonna get ripped right off when the driver pulls a drift.

And those stickers arent "spud". KEN WORKS is a relativly small company, and they wann advertise as much as possible and let people know they made that car.

Unlike putting APC stickers, where your telling the world you have no taste.

Oh, and hating on "tri-Star" wheels. Go check out Advan Onis or Super Advan Gen2/Gen3s. Even more functional than RGs, yet im sure their "not bling bling enough"

yea they make work on a 500HP FWD cars but they are too slow to have one, Im not narrow minded either, i like some muscle cars, not a lot but i do like some, im just not in to this drifting and JGTC shit.

And I would love to comment on what has been said but it would be hypocritical for me to. I'm really sick of the arguing. We know some people won't change there mind or even just be open minded so we just have to deal with it.

those cars are all about function.

they look the way they do b/c they're used. they're not show cars. they're real.

if you take the decals off most of those cars, you'd see how badass they are.

it's just funny that you're all show no go, but the kits and what not that are subtle but mean looking (drift cars) or wild (jgtc) don't interest you.

where do you think all the styles and designs come from?

oh that's right... japan...
everything you see on your rx7 or civic or whatever was originated in japan. the same place that drifiting and jgtc came from.
