Favorite ALCOHOLIC beverage !!!!

While this is COMPLETELY off topic, while sitting here, downing few beers, I was just wondering what everyones favorite alcoholic beverage is. most people find it strange for me to drink beer, considering that i am a chick and all, and most chicks stick to the spirits, so was wondering if there were any fellow chicklets out there who preferred beer to spirits. alcoholic beverage includes cocktails, so what is your fav cocktail. what do you enjoy to drink when you "hit the town:" :frog: :smoka: :sun:

I like liquor, but it can be in mixed-drink form also. Rum & Coke. SoCo & Pepsi (don't ask, it's the only time Pepsi is good). Vodka & some sort of juice.

For beer-like substances, I like Smirnoff Ice, but it gets too sweet after about 2 of them. I like dark beer if I'm going for it.

Smirnoff ice and Labatt blue.

I haven't really been a big beer fan, but I am liking.....

strawberry margaritas and daquiris are my absolute favorite

Others:
Disaronno and Sprite (accidentally stumbled upon this mix at a party, tastes like cherries)
Malibu Rum and Vanilla Coke (same discovery as above, tastes like chocolate)
Bailey's
Rum And Coke
Vodka And Sprite
and a very limited amount of straight whiskeys, but most are nasty.

BEER:
Traquair Jacobite (Scottish Ale, unfortunately it's $6 a bottle here, if you can find it)
Henry Weinhards Private Reserve (My main staple, also like Northwest Trail)
Guinness.
Fat Tire, Abbey, Blue Paddle, Sunshine (and just about any of the others from the New Belgium Brewery, Colorado)
Moose Drool, Slow Elk, Powder Hound, Scape Goat (All brewed by Big Sky Brewery in Montanna)

As you can probably tell, I really like microbrews...

HARD ALCOHOL/MIXED DRINKS, ETC:
Irish Car Bomb: 1/2 pint of guinness with a depth-charge shot of 1/2 baileys irish cream and Jameson irish whisky. Dunk and chug!

Scotch & soda
Rum & coke

Long Island iced tea
Long Beach iced tea (same thing as above, but uses Cranberry juice instead of coke).

Alexander Keiths Pale Ale(those who like it, like it a lot :) )

Okanogan Springs Brewery. Anything by these guys is good, especially their Old English Porter... it tastes creamy, but bitter, although it is 8.5% alcohol...

Bushmills Black Bush, damn fine stuff. JJ&S, always a favourite... Glenliddoch(not glenfiddoch!) scotch.

And my daily drinker(as I like to call it), Vanilla coke, and Appleton Estate rum :)

I Like Mikes as well, but I havent had heartburn before.

I'll 3rd that one the Mikes Hard Lemonade. :) I drink alot never drive drunk though.

Nah, J\K, I've drank the stuff plenty... but never bought it. Come to think of it, I've only ever had it when girls were offering it... :p

:eek: MIKES hard lemonade. when i went to canada for holidays back in 96 i was drinking that. it was REAL nice. It has only just come out in australia in the last year or so.

Let's see... my favourite long drink at the moment is a Mojito

Take several sprigs of mint, a cube or two of sugar, squeeze the juice of a whole lime in and muddle (ie squash them with a muddler).

Add a double of Havana Club Aneyo (8 year old Cuban Dark Rum), fill the glass with half ice cubes and half shaved ice and top with soda.


The favourite drink I buy for my female friends is a Ruby. Absolut Citron and Ruby Grapefuit juice topped with a dash of grendadine syrup.

For straight spirits - It would be a single Highland malt scotch - probably either a Glenmorangie 18 year old.

But the usual is a Australian Shiraz from the Barossa Valley.

Drink a case of Coors Light myself.........
