Programing New Remote

I lost a set of keys, including the remote and had to buy a new key for $40.00 and programed that myself now the dealer wants to sell me a new remote for $52.00 and then charge me another $55.00 to program that remote. Oh by the way this is for a 2007 Pontiac Torrent, can someone please send the the program code or instructions for my Torrent.....thx.

RELEARN REMOTE KEY
This display allows you to match the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to your vehicle. To match a RKE transmitter to your vehicle, do the following:

Make sure the vehicle is in PARK (P).
Press the vehicle information button until PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays.
Press the set/reset button.
The message REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE will display.

Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter at the same time for about 15 seconds.
A chime will sound indicating that the transmitter is matched.

To match additional transmitters at this time, repeat Step 3.
Each vehicle can have a maximum of four transmitters matched to it.

To exit the programming mode, you must cycle the key to LOCK.

Important: Keyless entry transmitters may also be programmed using the driver information center (DIC). Refer to the vehicle owners manual for information.

Is it different to program a remote for a 2006 Torrent? I need that info if possible.
