Ferrari annouced that Felipe Massa has joined the world champions as a test driver for the forthcoming 2003 Formula One race season.
The former Sauber driver replaces Luciano Burti and will work alongside Luca Badoer in the testing line-up. Burti was released from his contract last month because he wanted to return to racing.
Massa, a 21-year-old Brazilian, made his Formula 1 debut for Sauber at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix at the age of 20, bringing with him plenty of karting experience.
Ferrari will unveil their new car for 2003 here at their headquarters on Friday. The first race of the new Formula One season takes place in Melbourne, Australia on March 9.
This has been rumoured for a long time, and finally confirmed today. Hope he doesn't crash too many cars :)

It's good that Felipe will be around, cause of his promising form last year. Rumours where then, that he would replace Schumi should the latter stop racing one day. It seems to go nito that direction...

Wow, what a nice break for the kid!
His aggresiveness could rival Montoyas.

Well, he's used to having a Ferrari engine behind him, now he gets to drive the rest of the car.:)
