Regular maintenance is the answer: 2002 with 349,000 miles. Engine, trans and rear axle have never been apart other than for normal fluid and filter changes, and it's had a LOT of them!

A/C Delco distributor caps and rotors will outlast and out perform ANY other brand. Make sure you use silicone dielectric grease on each terminal, inside and out, of the cap.

1997 AWD. 158K as of today.

Got it in 2006 with 97K. It sat for a year and a half awaiting a fuel pump. In two and a half years, 60K miles? No major repairs, other than the fuel pump, and the belt tensioner pulley...(the famous last words of the helper on that one were, "Keep going...you still have a lot of bolt showing!" *snap*)

'99 former utility company fleet vehicle - 139000 mi. ... now well over 150,000 and running strong except for a very recent (couple of weeks, most) slight ticking noise on humid/wet days until warm. Not rings. I'm told rockers and lifters are baseline at the bottom with little room for adjustment. Could that be my only prob? Hope so. 22 mpg recently no spare/cargo suite.

I have a 95 Astro with 249,500 miles. Hope I can make it to a quarter million! Had to replace transmission after a oil cooling line leaked about 10,000 miles ago.

Retired a 90 with 314,000 mi
My daily driver, a 93 has 307,000 mi
The other trucks in the fleet are only around 200,000 mi
