cat-back ( need some opinions )

Greetings fellow Maxima owners!!! I call on your advice again.
I am in the process of replacing my stock cat-back ( mine is all rusted and falling apart!!)
I am interested in buying a new catback, was looking at high performance (although I know it doesn't add much but still).
I am not sure which brand to get. I like loud but not honda loud. I also am not in the mood as to spend 500+ on greddy and such...
Please voice your opinions on a cheaper cat-back but not a crapy one... Thanks!!!

yea try cattmanperformance.com. they got cat-back system 4 around 325. he also makes the famous y-pipe that ever1 knows. it bolts right on.

Some guy in a 89-94 Max reved on me the other day. He had a muffler. Thats right the ones that every race shop has thats a no brand. It sounded like a honda. I reved back on him to let him hear how STILLIN does it:right:

Definitely go with Greddy. Best sound and performance. Good looks, too.

stillen or greddy would be a good choice, hes right too, dont jus take the cheap way out. if ya do ull regret it later

go stillen. if you can't afford it all at once get the muffler and start saving for the mid pipe

Well my midpipe and muffler are super rusted and peeling so I need to get something asap. My parents are helping pay for it and they said Greddy is to much, which is like $535

ya just called stillen they said 550-600 for a cat-back, thats just to much, I want something for about 200-300. Stillen, greddy, cattman are all 500+ its BS

you may be able to jus go to muffler shop and see if they have a midpipe and a univeral muffler that is cheap

There is this set up called OBX that is just like greddy, I just need to get my hands on a set.

wat year is ur max? how bad is the rust on ur exhaust?

My max is 95 and the catback is all stock
The muffler is all rusted and peeling, not sure about the midpipe cause can't really see that, but the muffler i'm sure is falling apart, its rusted peeling, lost of metal

Check out a Magna-flow cat-back.

if figured otu what I'm gonna do, and it may not be the best thing ever, but i'm gonna go to a muffler shop in my area and get it customly done. It should be alot cheaper than these premade set ups.

How is Magna flow, they sell then all over the place here in L.A, you can go to any muffler shop and you'll find it. How does that even sound on a Maxima? performance wise, how is it?

custom hack job to quaility muffler < $350

Magna-flow, from all accounts I have heard sounds pretty good on a V-6, like a Maxima. From all the advertisement for it, and all the shops that have it, I would say it is a pretty good product.

well went to the meinike near me adn they are gonna do a 2.5inch through to the muffler and a magna-flow muffler which is like 4" diameter all the bolts, all the hangers, anything that needs to be done, plus installation for a total of 325%. If it gets to loud or not loud enough they will fix it for free. PEACE, SEE YOU LATER STOCK EXHAUST!

A max isn't meant to be loud at all. When I'm cruising, you can hear my Stillin Muffler, it's deep but not loud at all. Its when I gun it on somebody. All intake after that!!!:D I just love the look people's face and the questions they ask and comments:"what the hell do you have on your car"? "It sounds like you got a V8 or something"

Do you have a frankenkar intake? I have a mad V-8 sound with mine.

call up budget performance and see what they can set up, their prices are crazy low. shipping from cananda might be a little pricy though.
