87elcamino

I am thinking about swapping my 305 for a 350 in
my 87 el camino. I was wondering if my transmission
(TH200R) could handle the power difference? Any help
is appreciated. Also they have complete crate engines
at summitracing.com and a chevy recon 350 says
"for pre-76 vehicles" does this mean it wont pass smog
or what? The smog laws in California are strict so I need to
know this. Thanks

i put a 94 lt-1 350 in my 85 camaro and it hauls butt now!! i also took the car to the california state referee, and he passed it for the state! down side was they require the stock intake that came with the engine and i had to take the hood off for that (fixed that when i got home)
