Signal Processors

This is part 2 of the info gathering. Signal processing is equalizers, crossovers, BBE, time delay/alignment, etc ... These are units that are NOT contained in a head unit or amp.
As usual, I will start with my preferences for what makes a good unit. The first things I look for are high output level, low output impedance, no induced noise and a unit that does what I need it to do in the system. I mostly use Audio Control products because I can find something that meets the criteria above. I currently have a pair of A/C EQTs a four.1 and a 4XS. I have also used the alpine 3339 EQ - awesome remoste display that could be mounted pretty much anywhere. Hifonics Callisto crossover ... a VERY good unit, though it is not made anymore. A/C EQL - see A/C comments above. An old Nakamichi EC-200 xover, VERY nice feel to it. An old Sony XCS-1000 (I think that was the designation) .... I didn't like this one for some reason.

Nothing yet.
But two Phoenix Gold eq232's will be heading my way when my amps arrive. Looking forward to trying my 8v balanced pre-outs.

well, I see this topic flopped ........ maybe because so many head units and amps have the EQ's and crossovers built in.
