alright... so i have a new project in mind. but i need wheels.
basically, the "vehicle" is going to be in 1/12 scale. the wheels and tires need to be such that real world measurement is something around 18-20 inch TIRE diameter... NOT wheel diameter. somthing like a 14-15 inch wheel with a low profile tire...
i would prefer something that is sized correctly to begin with, but i could do some work on them. the only thing i did find that would be a possible fit would be the 24"-ers off the dub city 1:18 escalade, but those are frickin ugly. those calculate to 16 inch rims with what i would would guess to be about 1 inch thick tires...
so.... if anyone knows of any resourcese to pick up some NOT expensive wheels... PLEASE let me know. I will be most appreciative. hopefully i can get this project to work!!

I've doing some hunting for some myself, I will need some for my 1/12 NSX. I've come across a few 1/12 RC car wheels and tyres which could be modified, i found a nice set by Kyosho but didn't save the link. Just type 1/12 car wheels in google, thats wot i did!

yeah i found a couple sources for nice 1/12 wheels...
the pair i might be getting, i found on tower hobbies...

i would like to get something that is more of a hot rod wheel, as this strikes me as a "tuner" wheel.
thanks so far...

i really did like those, but they might be a little bit big... the tire outside diameter is 24 inch...
i will have to investigate this a bit further once i start working on the model. gonna have a lot of scratch building, the most i have ever done. so we will see how it goes. i can make up some cardboard mockups for sizing the wheels.
i did find some crappy toy store quality R/C cars on ebay for like $10, so i might be grabbing up one of those to scavange wheels. they might work.
i probably wont buy any of the wheels until i figure out if i can get the scratch building to come out ok... sigh what have i got myself into:eek:
