that's a carb car right?

my 89 got 29mpg or so when i got it, and after my working on the motor and more power it gets about 25-26 depending...

i'm not sure what that equates to in k's, but...

keep in mind that i'm going with mpg vs total number of miles...

if you fill it every say, 200 miles, you may think you've got crappy mileage, but you may only be using 6-7 gallons, know what i mean?

my car will get 400 mi to a full tank...

i drive about 300 mi, and then fill it... roughly 12 gallons...

right...

i could fill my tank every 165 miles, but that would be 6 or so gallons...

you didn't really note the mileage, just the miles...

Um, I said I get 165miles from a full tank. what more do you need?

how many gallons... ?

if you divide that number by the number of gallons, you'll get your mileage... if you're around 25 or so, you should be happy... more is great, less isn't...

Don't mean to be rude here but, are you trying to help me or what? 165miles to one tank of gas is 165miles to 12gal. do the math. thats about 14miles per gal. Hmm, now that we got that straight that the car sucks on gas like I stated in my original post. Now istead of trying to tell its good on gas(which its not). I could use some help trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with it. sorry to unload, Thanks for trying to help:

that's your first mention of your actual mileage...

165mi for 12 gallons...
not that great...

have you had it tuned up?
how are your injectors?

fuel filter? air filter?

carbon deposits? all that good stuff?

any restrictions from normal running (bad gaskets, anything like that?)

those can all lead to bad mileage...

but i'm not sure what the mileage for those cars was... i would assume around 20mpg at least though...
