Is it a stock SVT contour motor? Cause the 98 SVT contour makes 195hp.

I suspect he is talking about the 3.0 duratec swap fairly common on contour. Those can get fairly easily to 240hp.

Not heard of that swap before. Maybe he swapped in the 99 svt motor which makes 200 hp and modded it a bit:confused:

Its a fairly common swap in cougars and contours. You basically get the same engine as the jag.

i work at advance/ dis on main street.
yes it`s 99 engine swap iwth a few extras, but i was looking at the other swap all it is the older svt`s had the sho tarus 3.0 in them and it`s been done. you just don`t see them alot.

hey that 3.0 duratec into a contour, does anyone know if that would work in the reverse. As in putting a contours 5 speed into a taurus with the 3.0 duratec. New shift linkage aside what kinda work would that be
