Do zc motors come vtec and if so anyone no a web site were i can find info and a swap kit for a 88 crx dx Thanks

well, you can use the Si ECU, so, that will save u some $$ and the Si tranny or your stock DX tranny, they both work, just get the longblock and what ever u need for the MPFI swap......

stock mounts will work???shift linkage?

Yep, motor mounts will be fine, but its recomended to replace the bushings inside the mounts and if you have any broken mounts to change em before the swap..... and yea, stock shifter linkage will work fine!

this is great is the zc motor and alright swap? is the b16a much better to go with or does each have its advantages are parts easy to come buy like after market for a zc motor

This swap will be alot easier and less complicates then the b-series and alot cheaper i might go with this for now if its a good swap i wat to turbo in to future the zc is better to turbo casue of the lower compression ratio? thank for your help

Yes, the DOHC ZC is a good swap, but i would rebuild my motor because i've heard that a ZC motor usually sits in one place for a while...... and i would rather put in a SOHC d16y8 motor because it has VTEC..... Power wise, it would come down to the driver...... if it were me, i'd go with a b18a and turbo it because its also DOHC, but its 1.8L's and low compression and i can put a YS1 tranny on there which has LSD..... but its also a lot more money because its a B series engine and i'd have to buy new mounts and linkage and a tranny, etc......

NAA, the ZC comes in BOTH DOHC and SOHC, but the SOHC are rare, and not worth it, IMO, i'd go with the more popular and easier to come by and BETTER DOHC!

yea most ZC's u'd find will be DOHC, and when it comes down to turbo, i'd rather do a b16a, but then it really comes down to finance!! and if your going to turbo either motor, i suggest building it up if you wanna put more than 5 or 6 psi, but if you have the right Fuel Management and a Intercooler, you can run more boost, check out this link http://www.thedropshop.tv/custom and he usually comes on here, he has a ZC motor and its turbo'd and he has stock internals and i think he runs like 11 psi of boost safely cause of a ZDyne ECU or something....
