If you look at todays testing times (http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlines/news/detail/030204190819.shtml), consider the fact that they are using the new car (for Montoya) while ferrari - F2001, and also read Ralf's comments (http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlines/news/detail/030204143729.shtml), you'll be worried for Williams! Not too much concerned, but the fact remains - the car is not fast out of the box! And even if they get close to the F2002, F2003 should blosw FW25 away!

And one more thing - it seems to be extremely unreliable as well! The car suffers problems several times a day :o

Hope Macs do better.

On a side note, Toyota might be the ones with the biggest surprise for 2003.

Yes, I've seen it. What a surprise that is?
There goes the "looks promising" statement from myself... :bloated: I was very interested to see how it was going to perform, hence the looks, so will have to monitor this very closely to see if they can get things sorted within a month... ;)

Too bad for BMW; is it b/c of Frank Williams?

Sure it would be nice to have a car quick out of the box, but its a new car, new everything. well thats the way i understand it. so i would expect so teething problems. sure it doesnt look good at this stage but maybe they come march 9 they will be up to pace. i hope so cause i dont want to see two red racers on the front row unless one is toyota.

Yes, it's a new car, but still F2002 thrashed the Fiorano lap record on its second outing!

The car seems to finally start showing some pace! So Williams will still be up there! :D

Third post by me in a row

Anyway, the 25 seems to be going even faster, and JPM broke the Valencia lap record (click me! (http://www.autosport.com/newsitem.asp?id=21911&s=5)), but ... (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?postid=775705#post775705)

It all depends on what test they are doing, if it's tyres or aero they might be on light fuel loads. When they do race trim testing, they're on heavy fuel loads and therefor slower. Will have to wait till Melbourne to see how the cards are on the table

Very true man for all we know they could be refueling every10 laps or so to keep the load light on the cars. I know last year the Williams cars had some more HP behind them bt this year with Schumacher and Barichello having (if they do) better cars the future looks pretty dim for some other companies. But I doubt Williams will let anything close to that happen theyll probably have alot more done to the car and be another good contender again.
