power shifting

I'm new to the boards and i have a question about power shifting. I know that there is a certain rpm that it has to been in to work with out the clutch, but what rpm is it on a prelude , and is isn't it hard on your transmission???

Ummmm, to my knowledge...which isnt that much with trany's......no powershifting is ok for the transmission....

Have to figure that one out for yourself, if it grinds then that is not the RPM, it takes a few try's to get it but it comes with experience.:frog:

so powershifting is changing gears without touching the clutch right? getting it into that certain rpm and just slipping it in? what about double clutching? help? harm?

i was pretty sure that power shifting was not taking your foot off the gas when you shifted.

shifting without the clutch is just clutchless shifting.

i wouldn't consider it something that would be done with power or anything...

double clutching=useless in hondas. power shifting is tough on ur tranny, an i would only suggest using it in a race if u have it practiced an can do it well. easy to over-rev/miss a shift/lose the race, if u don't do it correctly.
