For those who use a toothpick, when i tried this the paint in the panel lines came off, and some compound gets left behind on the body is this what happens to you guys as well?

I get all the compound out before I do panel lines.

If the toothpick doesn't work, I usually use a soft toothbrush (used toothbrush...) with soap water to get to the difficult parts. I never chip the paint when I use toothpick.

Water should just wash it away. Dont use tooth picks, you might scrap off the paint, like it happend to me an hour ago, have to repaint the body neway :p

Moisten the toothpick to soften the tip, and also wet the panel line with water.

I leave the compound to dry really well (30 minutes), then lighty run a toothpick around the lines. It just comes of like a powder

If you remain compound in the lines, you're using too much. It's not expensive but you can save more. :p

Anyway, I use toothbrush.
