Well I swapped the engines in the car and the new exhaust keeps me from hitting 5th gear because its bent like hell the cat and the header wont mount up right, and most of all it smokes when I rev it up. I hope that its just deposit and it will burn off. I really do not feel like re ringing the motor.

D16A6 with a giant fucking cam that is making the valves knock like hell...I think its called valve float. I will probably have to switch the cams back from the old motor.
Also its dremel tool polished head, and it was re-ringed but I think the guy fucked those up to as it smokes but I cant let it run long enough to see if its just because its been sitting for two years or if theres a problem. I have to get a radiator before can run it.

there is def. a huge difference between vavle float and knocking... valve float is when you rev so fast that your vavle springs can't force the vavles back shut before a cycle is complete... but if you have a big beefy cam in there you may need stronger springs and retainers b/c you can rev higher... and knocking would mean your engine really needs tuned up, check the vavle lash and make sure every thing is tightened down to spec.. and you might want to have everything hooked up and then see how it runs with the smoke deal... it if has been sitting that long it may be burning off deposits, or the rings maybe bad... why don't you run a compression test? find out if the rings are bad...
