My heart and prayers go out to the families that lost someone in the disaster. From what I heard the Columbia was the oldest shuttle but it had just been rebuilt and upgraded so who knows if something was not properly done during the rebuild. :(

I was woken up by my parents watching it on TV and having it turned up all the way. They could be a little more considerate since I wake up at 6:15 AM 5 days a week, shit lemme sleep till 1 or so on the weekend.

truely a sad time right now for those people. one of those guys was from here in fresno. that thing was traveling at 12,500mph:eek: :( at an altitude of 39 miles. damn thats crazy. they said it would take some of the shuttles debree 10 hours to land. my heart is really heavy right now i always feel for stuff like this i've been stuck to the tv set all day. there just now recovering human remains and a couple bodies have been found:( god bless them all

Dont think so much terroist but I think it sound kinda fishy when just a couple days ago they had a panel come off the wing and one of the techs said it should not be a problem. Im guessing it was more of a problem than they thought. That guy from fresno was one of my dads old friends now they can see each other again.....

It's certainly tragic, but I can't say I'm all that surprised... it's only a matter of time before a catastrophic event happens within our space program. Nobody gets everything perfect, and in situations where every detail is critical, accidents are bound to happen...
I find it highly unlikely that this was the result of any terrorist activity...
