Tamiya GT-R R-34

heres my skyline. this is my first model that i really tried to get a good finish on the paint job. and yes i know the mirrors are missing ;)

clatescivicr, the pics of the left side where over exposed or too dark :( but right side was okay

the mirrors were unwillingly sacrificed to the evil gods of destuction :devil:

i also noticed the GT-R's are missing from the wheels. and also, one of the rear reverse lights is supposed to be red if i'm not mistaken. not sure which side, but i think one is red and one is white.

Without primer you dont get that orange peal, you get shiny paint no matter what. Looks kinda not skyliney without mirrors :finger:

Very nice work, makes me wanna start building mine. What paint did you use for the body? And is there a red that could get the same shade? maybe mica red?

What paint u use to paint the tailights? Clear orange & red or the base colors?

it is an older kit of mine so some of the decals have been rubbed off by handeling. the red light nest to the plate fell off :(

its sprayed tamiya mica blue.
the tail lights were painted with base colors, i have the proper clear colors though.

Just two things i'd change....
Some black inside the exhaust tips and do the underneath of the car black....it appears to be silver at the rear.

The paint work on the car looks great.....very good effort

thanks p-man. the kit comes with a clear front lip and rear diffuser and at the time i thought it would look cool to leave them that way :rolleyes:
man i was even more of a newb back then that i am now :frog: :p
