On the 40th anniversary of the famous car manufacturer at Sant'Agata
Bolognese, the Lamborghini Registry is born.
This Association's goal is to identify the best maintained vehicles and/or
those restored to their original state, from all the ten thousand
Lamborghini vehicles manufactured to date and which are still in
circulation, and to register them in the relevant Historic Registry.
The Registry was presented on the inauguration of the exhibit entitled
"Lamborghini in the sign of the Bull 2003: the Lamborghini Registry is born"
at the Bonfanti Museum in Romano d'Ezzelino (Vicenza). The Lamborghini
Registry is a free association established in a very spontaneous way, with
the aim of researching and re-evaluating the technical and cultural
patrimony represented by the House of the Bull's vehicles.
The members of the Registry will enjoy certain privileges: inscription of
their vehicle in the Historic Lamborghini Registry, a discount of 25% on
spare parts when work is carried out in the Lamborghini Restoration Centre
at Sant'Agata Bolognese; consultation and free information from the
Lamborghini Historic Archives; free issue of certificates and documentation
relating to the vehicle, and finally the possibility of participating in
events created by the Registry or by Automobili Lamborghini itself.
The first of these events kicks off with the programme organised to
celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Company scheduled to take place in
Italy from 9-11th May. On this occasion Lamborghini Club members from all
over the world will be
invited, and we trust they will come with their Lamborghinis, filling the
Factory with colour and nostalgia.
At the same time the first meeting of the Technical Board will take place to
judge the condition of the enrolled vehicles.
The drawing-up of the Historic Lamborghini Registry will begin with all
vehicles being registered in an elegant black leather bound volume.
In February the Association will be officially incorporated and the first
meeting of the Management Board will follow to elect its President.
