20th Anniversary GTI

Volkswagen is releasing the 20th Anniversary GTI onto the North American market.
This is basically a mix between the european 25th Anniversary GTI, and the 337.

This is what I should have waited for. My daughter has a 2002 Yellow Lancer, my son a 2003 Yellow Nissan Sentra Se-r Spec V, and I should have waited for this Imola Yellow GTI! I guess I'm stuck with my Silver one for awhile. Live and learn I guess.....:bloated:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOLF AND A GTI?

The golf was your basic car that came in 2 and 4 door versions. The GTI is a 2 door Sport version of the golf that came with extra performance features. Just a sportier version like other manufactures have with certain cars. For instance, with the Honda Civic, they have the plain model and the 'SI' model which is the sportier one.

And if VWoA wanted to, they could bring the four door GTi over.

GTi: From $18,910 (1.8t, five speed) to $21,775. (VR6, six speed)

Golf: From $15,295 (GL, 2.0, five speed) to $19,585. (GLS, 1.9 TDI, four speed auto)

so which one is better for you, I would like a GTI, silver alum. rims, new grill and shade wins

just a tiny correction. thats not a 20 years edition model, its the 25 years edition model. the 20 years edition (i got one) was based on the Mk3 and it was the last Mk3 before it went out of production.

That is the US 20th Aniversary edition. The European 25th Aniversary Edition did not come in Imola Yellow and had BBS RC's not OZ Aristo's. The 25th Aniversary also did not have a sunroof.

This is a 25th AE.
