standard alarm?

Whats a good alarm system. I dont have a factory alarm and I dont want that expensive pager system, so whats a good decent alarm system. Also, arnt there different types of sounds for the alarms?

DEI has all but cornered the alarm market. Unfortunately, they want the dealer to install it - so numbnuts won't blow them up.
