I just bought eiboch's

someone help me out. i just bought the pro kit eibochs and i don't wanna lower my car too much. i don't know shit about cars. i plan on doing 1.2 in on a 95 accord. i heard that i might have to buy shocks. Is that true? If i lower my car, will that fuck anything up.

you can just lower you car with out shocks. But your current shocks will take more stress and won't last as long or be as comfy. I would advise you to get koni shocks. A camber kit might help so you can increase tire life. Lowering a car runs into some problems though its hard to change oils without jacks and you run a risk of bottoming out in big dips/potholes. the Eibach pro kit isn't low enough to really worry though.

YES! buy new shocks!!!!! if you put a 1.2" drop on those stock shocks you will have quite the hydrolic fluid mess under your car very quickly...Ive heard differences on time from a few weeks to a few months. plus yes the ride will feel like ass

with a 1.2", from what I've heard and read, I think you could get away without a camber kit if your good about rotating and flipping the tire on the rim if necessary. but, Ace$nyper is right, a camber kit will help lengthen the life of your tires, even if you are religious about rotating.

I like what I hear about Tokico Illuminas, but I like what I hear about Konis too...your choice, but adjustable gas shocks are cool cause if you have to drive a bumpy road to work, but on the weekends the track is smooth, you can adjust the dampening level for comfort.

95 accord here, 3rd year on an eibach pro-kit and KYB GR-2 shox, yes the cheap ones. No problems here but do yourself a favor, get a camber kit (Progress makes a cheap one that will just fine) and get aftermarket shox. You've got a 95, its got miles, and you'll have the suspension apart anyway, put them on now, it'll be cheaper in the long run. btw, a washer job and longer bolts is all you will need for the back camber.

also be sure to get an alignment immediatley after the drop

how do you like those KYB's? I was lookin at them, I haven't bought anything yet, but when it gets warm, my car is gonna be one serious project - swap, I/H/E, suspension, wheels, tires, break upgrade, rear disc conversion, basically a big sh*tload of coin.

I m lookin to cut cost wherever I can get away with it without sacrificing performance.

so what's the scoop on the KYB's?

busted shocks is the only way to travel :smoka:

KYB GR2s are a step up from stock in that they offer increased handling ability, but they are not adjustable. They are good place to start in that they are widely available and are relatively cheap. I know folks who have GR2s with Sportlines with no problems and a ride smoother than butter. They are not Koni Yellows, but at about $150 less per set, they are worth a look

the prokit will probably settle to end up near 1.5 im guessin
