I think you have just answered your own question.
Just get the one you want most......the fujimi is not as good but with some time spent on it it can turn out OK

Usually, I recommend Tamiya, if the subject is the same, but in this case, I recommend Fujimi.
I just picked up the R33 with Nismo stripe today, and I was a bit surprised to see the Nismo aero parts on it. I thought there was only one R33 body, but apparently, Fujimi has at least two, the one with a separate front bumper, std rocker panel and rear bumper, and this one piece Nismo body. (Tommy Kaira has its own front bumper.)
This makes my 400R conversion so much easier, and I can use the stripe decal on Tamiya R34 GT-R. :)
Here is a comparison, and the front bumper of Fujimi is much thicker than the Tamiya kit, and looks better in my opinion.

Fujimi kit contains large bucket seats, and non-airbag steering wheel.

The new kit includes nice decals.

But as usual for fujimi, it has another chassis mystery. The exhaust is coming from the wrong side, and the chassis detail is not of the Skyline. Also, the front wheels are fixed.

The wheel is NS5R, so make sure you buy Nismo LM-GT2 wheel together.
Kit no. of this R33 is MN-31.

I prefer both. I can make a decent model out of either one so it's not a big deal to me.:bandit:
