R.Kelly

Since alot of threads are being started on music lately, i wanted to know what you think of R.Kelly after the latest set of child pornography charges. Like would you still listen to his music,etc.

Personally i still like his music but it makes me think because he sings about making love and stuff like that and it makes you wonder if he's talking about little kids and stuff(14-17) and that disturbs me

Well i hope he gets penalized(whether it be jail or w/e) but i think its more important that he gets some kind of counciling because all these things he's doing are like a cry for help and its not like he just started doing these things, its been going on for a long time.

he is good, but im startin to get sick of him. he's getting too popular. nobody even heard of him, but since "in the club" came out, im hearin him constantly. not to mention he's a snitch, kinda ruins the image he's trying to create for himself. but have you heard his new cd? it is pretty good, but only cause he's got people like eminem backing him. his other cd's werent nearly as good.

Yeh, 50 is really gettin popular...i feel the same thing is happenin to him that happened to sean paul.He was really hype for ppl like me before and now that he releases one song, everyone suddenly thinks he's the greatest or thinks they know everything about him,etc. and then he does like 100 remixes with anyone

50 Cent is HUGE in hip-hop right now. He is only going to get bigger, and he has a great label backing him up.

On R. Kelly: I did like him a little bit. I like that track he did with Fat Joe- "We Thuggin." With all this crap that's going on now, I couldn't care less what happens to him. I personally hope he rots in jail. :D

How can you very well prove this, granted he has sold many albums but you cant make an opinion into fact unless it was factual to begin with, then it doesnt even get the consideration of an opinion. Nelly has sold many albums and is near the top of the mainstream charts just like eminem. Besides, record sales don't make them the greatest rappers ever to have lived, it's how they lived their life and what they do while in the business that determines if they are remembered, or if they die out.

Well everyones allowed there own opinions, and thats mine. To me him and Dre are the greatest rappers alive. and i guess Nelly is yours. I adore Nelly to but I would rather listen to Eminem:rolleyes:

i agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but people throw around "best rapper" too freely. eminem is good, but he hasnt been around long enough to be one of the best. and i like 50, but honestly, he's just another eminem bitch... like all of d12. he's just enjoying his 15 minutes right now. im sure there are alot of people going around saying 50cent is the best, acting like they've always liked him, eventhough they didnt know who he was till they saw his video last week on mtv.

all those guys are entertaining to listen to, but the better rappers are the lesser known. like krs-one, ras kass or saafir... just cause theyre not the n'sync of rap(nelly) means they dont get radio play. thats like me saying pepperoni pizza is the best, eventhough its the only kind ive had. i find alot of people who listen to rap dont like what they like, they like what they hear on the radio because thats whats cool. basically were going back to the days of payola. think of the thousands of songs that are out there, yet any given day a radio station will play the same 30 songs over and over. hmm, wonder why that is????

If you take every aspect of music (in this case hip hop). The is no doubt my mind that Tupac is, was, and will always be the greatest hip hop entertainer.

He could rap over any beat: West Coast, East Coast, Reggae, whatever. If I was a betting man I would put his lyrics up against any of today's top rappers. He did not have to try and make his words rhyme by mis-pronunciating them in order to fit (ie Biggie, Jay Z)

He was never given any 'BIG" roles but if you watch the movies he acted in he does have the ability to be sincere and really play a part. If was not for his untimely death he would of surely obtain larger more promising roles.

He had staying power, he was liked not only by the middle class pop-tart culture, but always was able to perserve his "street" credibility. to this day you still hear his songs on most popular stations.

He is the only entertainer that can cuss everyone on the planet out, and then on the very next song sing "Dear Momma" or "Keep Your Head Up" and make you want to re-think your life.

Finally, if you have ever heard him give a interview whether you liked him or not he always commanded you attention in the way that great speakers such as MLK, Malcolm X, or any of of the great Presidents have in the past.

He is the best all around choice.

I think that if (and i wouldnt be suprised if he did) do everything they said he did then he should rot in hell. and for 50..hes probably one of the best rappers i have heard in a while. im not saying he is the best rapper of all time but he is one of the best. i think 50 was better when power of a dollar was recorded and supposed to be released. i think the shot to the jaw messed up his flow a little bit too, there's a distinctive slur that he has now compared to back then.
