C5-R Progress Pics

Well, after finally getting my carbon fiber decals to lay down correctly on their intake boxes, I decided I'd post some progress on the thing. The first pic is of the intake boxes (with offending decals) on the engine and finished. The second picture is of the car's dash and back. I've suprizingly had no fit problems with this car, but it is still not to the standard that Tamiya has set. Good for a Revell though. I'm currently trying to finish cutting away the hood, but can't figure out a way to do it below the windshild. Looking at these, I see that the roll cage pads need some touch-ups.

It looks very promising.
Also could you tell me if it's 1/24 or 1/25?

Ray: :finger: you too;)

Cozmo: The lettering is part of the Carbon Fiber decal that came with the kit

Vyacheslav: Blueprints? You mean the instructions??

Ciaoo: It's 1/25 scale I believe.

Yeah. It has those, but the only problem I had with the decal was that it was too thick. It wouldn't lay down, so I had to resolve my problems with some more forceful measures:devil:

Nice work. Is this gonna be the Yellow one or the Silver one?

The yellow #2 Verision, or maybe 64.

I too am attempting this kit: my first after only Tamiya and Hasegawa WRC models. As such, I'm trying to compare the woefully inadequate instruction manual's paint codes to the Tamiya TS line. Would you say the 2001 Le Mans car is TS-16 (Yellow) or TS-47 (chrome yellow)? In addition...noticed all the omissions and errors in the instructions? Is this usual for Revell? Hope not....

Welcome to AF, fellow SoCal Modeler! :D

Off the top of my head, I'd say Chrome Yellow, but I haven't spent much time looking...

For reference:
yellow / chrome yellow / camel yellow (IIRC)
