What music do you like?

Im sure most people enjoy the sound of music (not the movie), and it sometimes shows in their behavior what kind of music they listen to. So what kind of music do you listen, and how does it reflect on you? I myself am into a lot of hard rock, though Ive yet to see how it reflects upon me. oh well. comments?

I love music, I think it has everything to do with life. the type of music you listen reflects alot on you and your mood. I listen to most kinds of Rock, heavy metal stuff. my favorite kind is Progressive rock

Rap...not the super mainstream stuff tho(like Nelly,Eminem,etc.) and nothing else....:)

rap, r&b and rock(not heavy, but i do like the occasional soad song)

Just about anything, by far I like Country, Pop, and Rap the least.

punk (NOT pop-punk, no blink182 or Sum41 for me), emo, progressive rock, alternative, classic rock, very limited amounts of metal...

used to be a huge rap fan, but now i absolutely hate it (no offence to those who like it). always have hated Country, despise Pop.

"Blink 182 they are hardcore man" haha i think Nofx has to be my favorite they arent all that hardcore(must buy thesaurus) either but atleast it aint pop-punk also Rancid is pretty cool so is Lagwagon i basically like anything thats coming out of Fat Wreck Chords now'a'days

Just about anything but Opera and country western is ok with me. Rock groups like ACDC are high on the list. ZZTop is my favorite band with their rock and bluegrass (especially their older stuff) styles.

Wow, I truly listen to it all. I have Milli Vanilli and Michelle Branch. I have Billy Joel and Bloodhound Gang, Jamiroquai and Janet Jackson (old and new). My latest kick is going after the 1980's stuff... I just downloaded Debbie Gibson and Gloria Estefan, but yeah, I even have some OKAY country songs. Rap and twangy country are the only things I don't listen to.

almost anything excluding: crap (sorry rap) and R&B. can't stand that shit.

Favorites at the monent are:- Disturbed, Mudvayne, Drowning Pool, and The Crystal Method

Rock, techno, Punk rock and even a bit of pop are what I like


What I don't like is rap- which is just talking really fast about irrelevant crap and not even soundinggood doing it, RnB- just plain YUCK! all the screeching and moaning and hip hop- a mixture of rap ad R&B makes it the worst of the lot

Now that's just really sad :( R&B used to refer to a real musical style, instead of a marketing tool. It stood for Rhythm and Blues, and included real good stuff. Now I can't hear rhythm or blues in what is labelled R&B :(

Soul is another good example of a destroyed term. You want to hear what soul really is, listen to Wanna Take You Higher by Sly and the Family Stone off the (original) Woodstock album. Absolutely incredible. That's soul.

I like a lot of "obscure" music, NZ reggae & dub, and drum & bass...also like a lot of other stuff, RATM, The White Stripes, Radiohead (fav band), Apocalyptica, Incubus...my taste is pretty colourful, I'll listen to most things except death metal, country and pop.

I listen to rock:

Finger Eleven, Live, Creed, Smashing Pumpkins, Killing Heidi, Deep Purple, Cake, Nickelback, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Silverchair etc.

I'll listen to anything as long as it was written and preformed by real musicians who know how to play real intruments, and who actualy have some kind of musical talant.

Anything created by fat record company excutives soly for the purpose of making more money does not count.
Sadly there is an increasing amount of "rock" music falling into this genre. Thier often easy to spot, all the lyrics are about how tough life is when your a teenager.
I like to call it "teen agnst wanna be rock crap".
(playing right now on TV is the latest example from "the deftones: back to school")

really I listen to almost anything. My music taste ranges from Metal, to Rock, a little hip hop, to even things like the Corrs.

I'm pretty diverse.

one artist i especially can't stand is Eminem. everything he does pisses me off. i refuse to ever watch the movie he's in, will never buy his CD, and i've never downloaded any of his music. i just hate him.

Everything except rap which is often violent and stupid.
I like Jamaican Music (Bpb Marley, etc.), Pop, Classic, Rock, etc. I love Barry White, and Serge Gainsbourg. ;)

you've got wicked taste too! and by the way, that tune is called "Letters To You". I Miss You is just part of the chorus. :D the only band out of the ones you listed that i don't like is Simple Plan. they're too pop-punkish, and they're starting to sell out a bit. plus, "I'm Just A Kid" is STILL played 7 times a day on the radio. :bloated: i saw them in concert too...:p

good call Tonio! i like the Donnas alot recently too. the song "Take It Off" has been in continuous play lately.

I listen to everything excluding pop. When I say pop, I don't mean pure pop, like dance-pop, I mean all pop, from pop-rap(nelly, eminem, jay-z) to pop-classical(andrea bocelli, andrew lloyd webber), pop-country(toby keith, garth brooks) to pop-punk(simple plan, blink182), pop-metal(system of a down, finger 11) to pop-rock(creed, limp bizkit)...

Many of you may disagree with my classification of pop. That's okay, you can deny it all you like :D

If you like numetal, check out a band called Soil... anything by them is good.

Rap, try Funkdoobiest... oldschool :D

Death Metal, try The Haunted, or Otep.
