hey i was wondering if any of you out there have ever had an axle rebuilt? I was wondering how much they usually cost and if i should do it, or just get another axle? does anyone know if rebuilt axles tend to go out fast or will they last as long as a new axle? and is it possible to reinforce axles with special materials or anything like that??

What kind of axles are you using now? Did your order yours from raxles.com? I know they make axles for h22 swaps on 5th gen not sure about 4th gen.

if i remembered correctly, i believe they were from the 1st gen tegs.... im not sure but i heard some people saying something about them being the shortest or something like that..... is there a way to tell where they're from by taking them out and examining them like a serial number or anything?

Well i don't remember seein any type of serial number on there. No wonder your having troubles. That axle is too weak for your motor. All that torque is gonna break them. Go here www.raxle.com

Tell them about your set up. Maybe they can make a custom axle for you.

I have a 88 dx hatch. Can someone PLEASE tell me the difference in axles. I know the 88 is different from the 89-91. I need new axles now! Can I use 90-91 crx si axles ( I have a parts crx). Thanks.

Also, when doing a b16a swap into my 88, is there anything different to do since it is an 88?

I'm pretty sure they fit. If you gonna go b16. U need 90-93 integra axles along with 90-93 intermediate shaft.

www.hasport.com tells you more about it.

the 88 STD (4 speed i believe it is) axels have a different number of splines. if you have a parts CRX (i assume Si) then why not grab the tranny out of it too? just curious
