well since the vw i have is just for show i need an everyday car. im looking at 2 different ones right now. one is a 94 hatch with carbon fiber hood, lowered, B20 vtec with ross pistons, 270cc injectors, 70mm throttle body, skunk2 manifold, ericks racing ecu, fuel pump, type R cams, dual valve springs, port and polish, and some other stuff. very well done i might add. the other is a 93 hatch with an H22. for all i know the H22 is stock but brand new. the B20 vtec has only 3k miles on it. which would you choose???????
dont mean to brag but im just excited about my VW. its one of 4 in the US. 2 are ever driven and mine is one of them. extremely rare!!!!

i would personally get the 94 with the b20. the h22 is probally faster, but i pefer b series engines.

uhhh i dont think that the h22 is faster
that b20 is rated at above 230hp at the wheels. not to mention 195 lb/ft of torque. i think its a LITTLE faster than the h22........

Both sound bad ass. I'd get the H22 just cause it be easier to maintain as a daily driver. I'd suggest buying a bone stock one and doing the work yourself. Where's the fun in buying a tricked out one? Just my $.02

oh yah and about buying a stock one and doing it myself.....
id love to but i still live with my very strict parents. they would never let me "waste" my money by laying down 3-4k on an engine swap. i can do little bolt ons here and there so im looking for a stock looking 5G hatch with swaps already. thats why.....
is that a valid reason????????

that is 1 bad ass ride !!!!!!!
i understand your point about building your own ride, but i just don't think that buy'n someone elses problems is a good way to go..my .02 cents.. and if your parents will allow you to throw your loot down on a car that is already been built and beat on.. you need to explian to them that cars are your love and if they won't nurture your love for cars then there not doing there job as parents....plus building your own ride is much more rewarding... :bandit:

thanks shep. im glad someone on this board likes it. i was afraid i was goin to get flamed for it.
and as for telling my parents about not nurturing my interests, believe me ive tried. no matter what i say they think its a waste. id rather buy a car that very recently had the swap done, deal with the little things that they may have done wrong and still have the opportunity to do the little things to customize it.....
by the way either car will have rota slipstreams when i get it. noone can change my mind about that. i love those rims and te real spoons are too expensive.

you whithout a doubt have your hands on a sweet ride.. i would garage that sucker for about 10 yrs. and then bust it out into the world... be sure to tell people then that it needs 1.21 jigawatts just to fire up!! it will also be worth about 50k then. thats if gas is still around :rocket: :aug2: :badass: :greenchai :machinegu :eshooter:  :twoguns:

i don't know if im mistakin but that is a vw corrado is it not. and if it is there is a lil more then 4 on the road evan if it is a true vr6. A friend down the street has one. Only 15000 shipped to the us or some thing around that. Or at least yours looks verrry simular to one, what did you say it was called.
edman24
01-31-2003, 12:04 AM
no no definitely not a corrado. its a scirocco. the proper new title is
RIEGER GTO SCIROCCO 16V
there are other sciroccos out there but this one has a full conversion from rieger. it was done in germany. includes a full wide body kit, bbs 3pc rims (7in front, 11in rear!!!), neuspeed suspension. as i said 1 of 4 in the US...........

Ok let me get this straight, you have a bad ass one of 4 car in the US, which has this wide body kit and crazy rims from Germany, AND you are looking for a second car which is gonna be pretty bad ass too, and costly.... and you are tellin me your parents are strict???? C'mon man, what difference does it make if u spend 3-4 grand on an engine swap or a kit and rims, bottom line is the money is going toward the same purpose, building up a car.

let me break it down for you if you dont understand. the VW i got from a guy who didnt know what he had. i did all the research on the car and he had no idea what it was. i only paid 7.5k for it. so if i can get another car under 8k then im fine. this is why. my sis got a brand new mitsubishi galant for her first car. it cost about 15k. if i get a second car for under 8k then my total goes to 15k!!! make sense? 15 is my limit.
also the 5G hatch i get will only be hooked up with a motor. not body kits or anything so i wont worry about the looks so much. any more questions?

If I had to choose between the two hatches, I'd probably go with the H22a hatch. The H22a hatch would be easier to mod wouldnt it? I dont think they make intakes and such for a CRV. lol
I have read in several locations that the B20 has problems with its cams I believe it is. They are crazy long and they tend to bend and break or something.....correct me if I'm wrong. Just tryin to help.

an intake can be had for just about anything
only problem with a b20 is it's not really forgiving about a high rpm

i was talking about a b20vtec conversion. it has everything i would do to it on it already. it needs nothing but rims. and yes i know it doesnt rev as high as the regular vtecs but thats curable. set your vtec crossover lower, advance your cam timing and you wont have to rev high. end of story.
