Whats better, cross-drilled, slotted or both? I've noticed that swapping brakes for 300zx brakes are pretty popular, is it better than getting an aftermarket brake kit?

Both would be the best,
cross drilling helps it disapate heat more efficiently and slotted rotors channel dirt and brake dust away, i'm sure there's a lot more but in a nut shell that's it.
the z32 brake conversion is so popular because the breaks on the 240sx well, suck.
the z32 TT rotors are 30 mm
and the non-turbo are 26mm
plus the calipers are 4 piston instead of the single piston calipers on the 240
if u don't wanna do a full conversion and do a 5-lug swap SRswap.com
has for $849 has the z32 brake conversion for the front drilled for a 4-lug with brembo cross drilled and slotors rotors plus stock replacement brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors in the rear
that's what i'm gonna get
or for 500 you get just the front conversion

Both I'd say...Brembo is the only way to go...or any other reputable Brake System manufacturer

both. Brembo, Endless and Project Mu all make awesome brakes for 240SX.

This is incorrect. ONLY the 1990 z32 non-turbo calipers are 26mm (aluminum). The 30mm aluminum calipers were used on all 1990 twinturbos and all 1991-1992.5 Z's (NA and TT). 1992.5-1996 NA and TT all use 30mm iron.
Also for those suggesting Brembo, Project Mu, etc...I'd really like to know what you're using your car for, because I've never heard of any 240 owners having problems road racing with stock Z32 calipers.
