What is your favorite kind of candy?

Right now, I'm hooked on "Nerd Ropes." That is little sugar-flavored crunchy bits stuck to a gelatinous rope like red licorice. They're good. Two kinds of sugar at once! http://www.plauder-smilies.de/sad/nervous.gif

Rockets!!! Actually, you don't get rockets in the US of A, do you?

Second best are those British Love heart things that melt in your mouth....yum yum!!

yeah i dunno what heep's talkin about either.... but i know what rockets are, i'm pretty sure they're in the states. but they only sell them during halloween i think, they're simple, but i don't know how to explain

For those of you without the luck of ever tasting red swedish fish...

There are big ones and small ones. The best ones are these little inch long fish-shaped gummies. And the only good color is red.

Infact, swedish fish taste a little something like the red "sour patch kids" after you suck off the outside... I've been addicted to swedish fish since I was a wee-little one :)

Rockets? They're little round (1/4inch diameter?) colored and flavored chucks of sugar....

I think I've heard rocked compared to bottlecaps before. Bottle caps are crunchy and are flavored like sodas. Most notably root beer.

No, no, they're way different than bottlecaps...

Canadian rockets = U.S. smarties.

They're like sugar pills, but sweeter. :D

There ya go. Canadian Smarties are like M&M's only they don't have any nuts or anything, just chocolate, and they're a little smaller. Rockets are the little sugary "pills"

They are choc bars that are kind of like rice bubbles. As you eat them it feels like they are poping in your mouth. The kids laugh there heads off as they eat them as it tickles your throat as you eat them. When you have a drink it makes it worse.
You still feel it in your throat about 5 mins after you have finished eating them.

I'm a Skittles person myself, I get the huge like 2Lb bags. :D I wondering why their is so much canudlar difference between countries.

Rockets are pretty good - little hockey pucks ;).

My favorite candy is Hard Peppermints. Anything minty, and hard - I love.

Pink peppermints!!!! I love those!!! I went to the Ganong chocolate factory in New Brunswick once...you're allowed to eat as much as you want while you're in there, but you can't take anything out. I snagged some pink peppermints that had just been made, actually I watched them being made. They hadn't hardened yet, so they where soft and chewy and warm...mmm!! :D:D

no that's all wrong, Rockets are alot like bottle caps, just they don't like fizz in your mouth. Smarties are like M&Ms.... i'm sure there are M&Ms in the states. Both Canada and the U.S. have the same candy! They distribute all the same candy over North America

But I've been to THE HERSHEY, PA factory... the whole town smells like chocolate mmmmmm

Same here except it's in Smith Falls, Ontario. As soon as you get there it smells like mmmmmmm. :) I'm also voting for Uniform Candism between Nations (Better double that lining DVS :D)

Gang$tarr, Smarties are different than M&M's, they don't have nuts and they're smaller. The US doesn't get them. That's not true that the US and Canada get all the same candy, they don't get Palmomines, I don't think they get Coffee Crisp or Eat-mores or anything. No Winegums either. Do you get PEZ in the US?

Hmm, for me its a tie between Rockets and Starburst.
Now that halloween is getting close, I should start to see some rockets in stores, ill have to pick up a 10lb bag or so.:D I love starburst too, but there alot more expensive than rockets, and they make my jaw tired.

I get my rockets at Sobeys, just buy them bulk. Last time I stocked up I bought 2 lbs of the things

umm, they make M&Ms (plain) without nuts... it's basically the same thing as smarties

and haven't you seen the Pez episode of Seinfeld? that's in new york! U.S.A.

There's a Sobey's that's open 24/7 kinda near my house.... it's the best for like 3am i'm drunk and i need food type situations :D

Are you blind?! They come in brown bags, they used to be called plain. Then didn't you see the commercial when the M&Ms were talkin about changing the name because plain sounded so boring. Now they're Milk Chocolate M&Ms and they're the original M&Ms.

M&Ms are here too!!
plain (milk chocolate), peanuts, crispy, peanut butter, etc. we got it all :D

Hmm, that's wierd. I've seriously never seen the plain M&M's, they always have nuts for me. US smarties sound like Canadian rockets, and Canadian Smarties are round bits of milk chocolate coated in hard colored stuff.

M&M's...we only get plain and peanut here.
