Hey all 350z owners, I love Z cars, I own two, but this new one is pissing me off. The tranny is grinding third, it only does it in the morning but, when you shift into any gear it feels like it momentarily is obstructed then it goes into gear. The nissan dealer tells me to drive it and if it gets worse they will replace the transmission, come the fu*k on. Would you want some barndoor tech putting a new tranny in a car your paying $600 a month for? This car only has 3,000 miles on it. I love the car, already got all kinds of mods, and more on the way so this is really getting to me.

I wondered the same thing when I found out my T/T was only one of 5 my nissan mechanic found had a bad banjo bolt on the right turbo making it smoke.
Now if he has found 5, how many did Nissan make this goof on? No recall and it cost me $3000 to fix. The really sad thing is the replacement bolt did not even have a hole drilled in it, AT ALL. At least the original had part of a hole.
Anybody out there had similar on their Z?

well in most states there is a lemon law. In CA if the car goes in 4 times in the first 12 months for the same problem. You can have them replace/buy back/or trade it for something else. Hope this is not a common issue I am thinking about buying one next week.
