OK, I know this forum is pretty new but has anyone with the Navigation system been able to figure out if it is possible to bypass the limitations when you are driving?

For example the DVD wont play when you come out of park, it goes to sound only. Additionally there are countless options that dissapear when you come out of park including voice messaging, address book, routing to addresses, DVD playback, (to mention a few), etc etc ......

I understand Cadillac's rationale to limit the driver to avoid accidents but what if you have a passenger who is willing to do the accessing on the system or who wants to watch a DVD. It seems like this system must be bypass'able or have some type of secret maintenance overide code?

If anyone has any ideas please post a reply..........

Thanks,
Nomax

Nomax,

Has anyone come up with an answer for this question that you posed? I recently picked up my CTS (traded the old Seville) and if I could figure out the "fix" to have the DVD run while out of park, it would be perfect for us.

Hopefully somebody, somewhere, has this bypass already figured out.

Andy
