Hello everybody,
I was looking at this Forum quite a long time. There are so many amazing models here. Never found a place like this before. So I want to intoduce myself. I'm 30 years old and I'm building models sinse I was ten or so. I'm trying to make every model a little bit more realistic then the previous one. So, now I want to post some thing about the Enzo I'm building. I hope you like it:
1. Engine: These are the engine pics, so far. the engine block and the gearbox is painted chrome silver, then very thin matt black and then drybrushed matt aluminium. the exhaust is partly coverred with bare metal foil. You can see this at pictures of the real one. Every Carbon part that is visible will be covered with CF decals from Museum Collection. Tese decals are very good to work with.

Hi there,
the aluminium foil is also crumpled on the real one. I have one picture in a german motor magazine where you can see this area perfectly. By the way, I think I will need a lot of time for this projekt, but I'm trying to make it as perfect as possible. It is going to be red. I've thought about black, but I think this car looks in red so perfekt, there can't be another color. Even with the name os the car I mean ENZO FERRARI. It must be red. I've started the back brakes this evening. Probably going to post some pictures tomorrow.
Thank you all for your posts. I enjoy it very much. I'going to post some models that I've builded before. I think it will be a McLaren MP4/5, a F50 and a very special Koenig Testarossa. That's it for now.:smoka:

I think I'm going to go back and check how old he is.

Hi There,
it's update time! I've spend some time on the momocoque with CF Decals I try to cover all parts that'll be visible on the assembled modell. Also made the rear breaks. This one takes a lot of time but it's worth it.

Have you heard about the 360 Modeena Challenge Stradale? What's up with a model of this one. Would be great.
The next thing with the enzo is the front suspension and than the interieur. Right now I'm on the steering wheel.

I was looking through a booklet i have on the Enzo today and i immediately thought back to this thread. Your work on the engine, in particular the CF decals, is spot on. Something else you might want to try, perhaps you have already noticed this? Try laying down several sections of decal on the monocoque to make it look like its made up of several different sections of CF as with the real thing.

How big are those sheets of carbon decals? Do you think that they are good enough for someone to make a natural coloured Enzo - As in, the whole body is bare Carbon fiber with a lot of glossy polish??
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

Great progress Mulsanne!
I'm also building an Enzo at the moment. I stopped doing carbon decals as it takes too much time. I have several pieces done and now I'm not going to use them. All that carbon fiber you've done looks perfect! I'm hoping to get mine done this week.
Excellent work - for a newbie?
You're certainly not a noob:)
