Has anyone bought some coilovers from ebay? What are they like? Stiff, bouncy, smooth ride etc..... Cause I want some really stiff springs and I was just wondering if the springs from Ebay were even stiff.

What brand are they do you know. Are they no name brand?
If so, you got to remember you get what you pay for. I learned a good leason about that.

I've got dropzone coilovers, haven't installed 'em yet but there rated 450/350. They quality seems alright but I'm gonna use good struts so it should be alright.

i had dropzone on tokico blues on the "sx" and they did just fine, but with stock struts they were bouncy as hell

Thanks for the warning. I think I'll try the Tom's see how those are. Until I get the money saved up for the JIC coilovers.

you should just get a set of neuspeed race springs with some nice shocks/struts. i love my ride, my car is dropped 2.5-3 inches and the ride is stiff yet smooth.

I made that mistake with my white hatch and ended up ricing it out...... now if i dont have the money for the brand name stuff, that means i'm saving....... I'd Rather pay the extra loot for the R&D!

whatever you do dont buy the matrix or r-1 coilovers, they bounce like heck.... i have two 4th gen hatchs, one w/ r-1 coilovers and this one with skunk2 coilovers.... and the skunk2 coilovers are smooth compared to the crappy r-1, i've been in a car w/ matrix coilovers and they are just as bad as the r-1, i dont know about them other brands... but i'd assume that if they are under 100 w/o s/h, then they're probably gonna be bouncy, unless you compensate for them w/ real good struts like tokicos or something.

suspension is the worst place to try and save some money. would a marathon runner wear cheap $10.00 dress shoes from a race?
Just cause it looks like a race car doesnt mean it drives like one
