'96 G20 Factory CD player upgrade amp

OK. Can't seem to find any post in retgards to this.

Is it possible to run the speaker outs from the factory Panasonic indash CD player from a '96 G20 into a high level input amp (ex: Alpine 3522S Tri-Mode capable), then amplify the factory 2ohm speakers. This would bypass the factory Clarion amps (two) that are mounted under the rear deck in the trunk.

I am thinking of running all speakers off of the amp in a 4 ohm load (parallel) and cap them off. Run the Left front speaker/tweeter and left rear speaker at 4 ohm (parallel) and same for the right side, then run a 4 ohm 10" sub off of the tri-mode with a coil. No fader.

This is NOT a Bose system. It is the stock '96 G20 system that consists of a Panasonic AM/FM/CD head unit that powers the front speakers and two factory Clarion amps mouinted in the trunk that power the rears. All speakers are the factory Clarion set.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
