Oooo I'm sooooo scared...:licker:
We gave them demands; they weren't met. We bomb em. That's life. If you support terror your against civilization.
50 Tomahawks, 15 bombers, etc. This is virtually nothing. If we go all out we'll wipe of the globe a million times over.
But I feel bad for the Islamic people though. :( They're going through so much with that fucking Taliban government. The Taliban are staining the teachings of Islam with blood! :(

yeah, i was waiting for it..... i wish i was flying one of those planes though :(
but it really doesn't matter how much force we have if they have one nuke they could blow up a could chunk of the country (and they would do somethin stupid like that, bunch of idiots).... how would we stop it? That "star wars" satellite program isn't up yet, is it?

I've said this already in another post but, while I am all for the retaliation, I'm now worried about the assholes that are sleeping still here and just waiting for the green light to do who know's what!!:(
All I can say is, don't act suspicous around me, I'm going to shoot first and ask questions later.

I too feel anxious about this whole thing. You guys hear about that guy that tried to hi-jack a plane yesterday? The good news is that the passengers delivered a beat down, the plane was escorted down by military aircraft, and to put it mildly, the would-be hi-jacker get his ass kicked. Aside from that, I heard that a couple more anthrax cases have popped up in Florida. They were able to trace it to a package delivered to some company in powder form. I guess they have quarantined the building, and all their employees are being tested for the disease.
All in all, this experience has reminded us how vulnerable we are, and the immense difficulty in stopping those who choose to try and harm us. The comfort lies in the numbers for me, that there are so many of us compared to the terrorists, and that they can only bring harm to so many of us.. that is excluding the option of a nuke.

I heard more about it. The guy has some mental illness, and had just been released from the mental hospital. He freaked and ran for the cockpit screaming "save the tower" or something to that effect. (It was a flight into Chicago, and he thought they were going to crash into the Sears Tower - I can relate to the feeling: on Saturday, September 15th, I stood in a park in Hoboken, NJ overlooking the former location of the WTC, looking at the smoke and dust swirling up into the air. My mom and I remarked how lonely and sad the Empire State Building now looks in the NYC skyline.. and how worried we are about it being the next target.)

how long do you think the empire state building is going to be standing? It's over 70 years old
and what are they going to do with it when it gets really old? demolish it and put i different building in it's place?

Hopefully forever? As far as I know, it's structurally very sound. I mean it's not some 18th Century Colonial home in great need of renovation in order for it to remain standing. Skyscrapers like the Empire State building have a much greater life expectancy than your average building. Of course, now we know that fully-fueled passenger airplanes can cut those life expectancies dramatically short.
I sure don't know their next move. But in light of the Taliban's response to our air strikes on Afghanistan, it seems that they are responsible (at least ultimately) for the September 11th attacks, and that they intend to follow the same avenue for future attacks on the American public. I just hope that we are more prepared this time around.. and I think we will be, as was exemplified by the way those passengers dealt with the guy on that flight to Chicago.

I could see the ESB (read Empire State Building) standing another 200 years. I think as long as it survives this "war on terrorism," I think it may ultimately fall prey to ways of the future, i.e. desire to build new, bigger, and better things.. although, no, I think the ESB is too much a classic part of our culture to be demolished to make way for something new. I mean it was the tallest building in the world for many years! Who knows, maybe it will be toppled during the next ice age.....
Whole-heartedly agree about ..what's his name. There's a real scary (scary to us) part of Islamic culture being exposed by all this. I don't mean to point a finger, and I'm sure that our culture is just as scary and threatening to them.. remember that most in the region probably live in fear at the hands of these terrorists just as we do, as they fear that terrorist action will inevitably result in loss of life of innocents at our hands through retalliation.
