honda tech shops are usually more expensive. At least look around and see what other shops would do it for, never just pick one place and have them do it without getting other prices. Shop around, compare.....

only $400 for a b16 swap? that is really good...especially for a honda tech. i know shops that charge that for a ZC or sohc vtec swap. another thing to keep in mind is that shops generally charge a little more when you buy the engine elsewhere.
i say thats a score. but call around just in case :D

4 bills is cheap just about anywhere around here, as a matter a fact you can't get it done for under 6 bills here, unless you do it yourself like I did and most of the people around here do. so if you have the time I say do it yourself and if not 4 bills is good i think

Around here, people will do it in their garage for 4 bills, my boy does it for free for us, but charges 4 bills also....... at a shop, it would cost from 500 to 600 dollars to install a b16.....

Thats pretty cheap still if its done professionally? They usually charge an extra 1200-1500 to install.

Damn, i'd rather do it myself than pay that much, thats as much as the engine alone costs!
