i think my alternator is going because when i i put my brake pedal down and the brake lights go on my car rpm drops down to around 600rmp. its the alt.

try turning the heater, lights, stereo, hazards, and everyting electrical on and if it does the same then it would seem that the alternator isn't giving the car enough charge, if not take it to a garage and get them to look at it
