Avenger Kit Car?

I seen this wierd looking car the other day sitting in a used car lot with alot of junk cars. This particular car was not in bad shape good actualy. It was red and had nice looking wheels on it. I asked the guy about what it was and he told me that "it was a kit car he and a buddy made a couple of years ago. Telling me how it has a Corvair motor and sitting on a volkswagon chassis". When i was told what motor was in it i lost intrest in it, well sort of. I loved the body it kind of represented a GT-40 look alike. Does anyone have some pictures of one?

Is that what it's called? "Avenger"?

There are no pics, but there is some mention of an Avenger kit car, so it may be it... didnt have time to check it out in too much detail..

Well the company that makes the kit car is called Avenger. The kit car that im talking about is a replica made by Avenger that represents a Ford GT-40. Pretty Cool looking car. I'll post the picture in a few.

Yeah, your right....it don't really look like a GT-40, but I would still drive it....not so much to attract attention. Just b/c I would be driving something no body else has. You know what i mean. Something not very many people have ever seen ;) :D

yeah it does look pretty good, and sure no one else has one, but it's an imitation of a great design so in that way its not so unique, and as we said not such a great imitation either :rolleyes:

Sure is an imitation. Its a cheap one at that :) , well i don't have much else to say about this car now that i looked it up and got the full scop on it. Thanks for your posts.
