Tein suspension

In the distant future im planning on getting a complete suspension setup for my 98 civic from Tein and I was wondering what opinions people had on there suspension. Also what info does anyone have on the auto damping thingy that Tein has. I read somewhere that they were R/D'n a automatic height adjustment.....any truth to this?

What would be the best setup for my civic.....which will be lowered.

Personally, I have the Tein "SS" system on my car. Best mod I have gotten to my car. Rides WAY better than a friend who has the H&R full coilover system on his car, and mine cost $400 less than H&R. ;) Anyways, I'd say go for it if you can. If performance handling is what you desire though, I'd go Tein SS or HA over the Type Flex, which is the electronically adjustable one. YEah you gotta manually adjust the SS or HA, but it's SO simple to adjust (ride comfort that is) you could practically do it blindfolded! Anyways, what system you should get depends on your driving style, and what you plan to do with your car as far as types of driving.

Well I dont think im gonna be doing like crazy rallly racing or auto-x racing but i just want a system that is gonna give me a really smoooth, luxury type ride. But I also like the idea of being able to adjust the damping so i can take corners at speed if im in the mood or whatever. Any other suggestions on what I should look into? I need a setup that has alot of adjustability in the ride height and somethin that will give me the smoothest ride possible?:)

I'd still say Tein. Get the SS system, that's the plushest one they make, and when set to softest, it's pretty damn near stoock feel. :)

Yeah, the smoothes ride. They flow or ride very nicely. Not too bouncy when set stiffer, but very bouncy when set to stiffest. And very comfortable when set to softest. They shold run you about $900-$950 for them, I've seen them under $900 before online, I got mine for $850.

What exactly comes with the SS system and would i need to get a cmber kit or anythin?

Yeah, that's USD. Not sure what it would be in Canadian dollars. The SS kit just comes with the coilover units them selves, no pillo-ball mounts or anything. For a camber kit, you really only need one if you go lower than "2 inches. Mine is at "2 and my camber isn't too bad.

Im kinda new to the suspension world.....What exactly does a coilover kit do. I wanna lower the car as much as possible and be able to get 17 inch rims? Im not really going for performance that much i just want something that will lower the car and have a good luxurious feeling to it.
