Ecu

Im doing a ZC swap so I got the 89 integra ECU. The LED on it is in a different place than the civic one. Is there any way to have it still able to be seen so I can still tell if its throwin codes?

As long as it is still on the top does it really matter?

where abouts is the ECU? and do all the cars come with it stock? (yes dumb question i know but i'm not all that good in this area)

Hey come on now, there's no dumb questions, just stupid fast cars. Anywho, to answer you questions, the ECU is under the carpet under the glove box on the passenger side. It'll look gold and have an LED on it. The blinks the LED makes can tell you if you have any problems with your car and you can reset it by putting the key in the on position, then back to the off (i think). And yes, all cars come with it, it's basically the brain of the car.

alright awesome! thanx for the help. is there a place where i can get a list of what the blinking lights mean? just incase something happens and i need 2 know. and to check it i put the key in the on position then off?

No prob, i like helping, makes me feel smart. As for a list of the meanings, im not sure but i'm sure someone will post something soon. And reseting it wont get rid of blinks for problems u still have, just ones u did have and then fixed, sry, should have explained it better.

The light is on the very top of the ECU so if I bolted it in like the old one the LED wouldnt show at all. What im saying is that its not on the big flat side, its on the edge of it. Does anyone know what im talking about?

i understand i just havn't seen that before, what ECU is?

I found my ECU today! lol <----go me! hehe
that things a huge mother.... lol. i thought the LED would be smaller but its like the size of a friggin Dime or penny! lol. i'm thinkin of cutting a hole in my carpet where it is so i can see it if something happens right away. but thanx again for lettin me know where it is. once i connect my battery and get everything running again i'll check it and make sure everythings goin good!

Hey if your so worried about the stupid light why dont you just make to remote. As in relocate it run two wires from where the led mounts to on the ecu to a location on the dash. Then just solder the led to the wires. Just a thought I thought about doing it but I really dont care if it codes..
