Dupli-Color Primer Sealer

Hey, today I got Dupli-color primer sealer. I sprayed some on a box to see what it looks like and it was'nt smooth, it was all chunky. Is this because I did'nt warm it or shake it or will I have to Sand it after I primer the car. And what are some Tips about Dupli-color paint if you could please.. Thanks

Hawk312 should be able to tell you all you wish to know; he gets awesome results from using Duplicolor paints and primers.:)

I've used it allot and it always goes on very smooth. Buy some posterboard and cut it up and use it for testing paint,use the glossy side.
Other than Tamiya's it's the smoothest primer I've ever used.

While I was in the states, I found that some Dupli-Color spray cans are sitting there for a very long time. So, maybe the pigment and solution isn't fully mixed. Shake it well, put it in a warm (but not hot) water, and test spray for two seconds, and see if fixes your problem.

i dun get how you guys can use Duplicolor on plastic, i primarly use it for my resin kits but when i tried it on my plamos it crazes on contact. nearly ruined a friends AE86, know i spray some out in a bottle and airbrush it on instead.

Use primer or Mr. Surfacer, and you can spray dupli-color without any problem.

So you didn't shake it OR warm it? Nah-uh-uh... :p

Shake it like the directions ask and warm it up, and see how it sprays...it's some of the finest primer I've used. :)

yes i did shake, very periodically too. i know the pigments settles down very fast. but no i didnt warm it up, i thought youd only have to do that if the pressure drops. it never gets that cold here in San Fran either.

Shake it periodicly and spray on far distance. Dont forget to wipe off the boubles on the nozzle
