Whats up everyone,
I just got a 99 Trans AM. I am looking to put some mods on it. It currently has the Carbon Fiber Whisper Box Intake, with K&N filter, Borla exhaust, the strut bar across the engine compartmet, tranction bars, and 17" Konig alloys (11.5" of rubber on the road). I have a few ideas, I just wanna know who has done them, trouble they had, if any, and the performance increase.
First set of Mods:
BBK Throttle Body 80mm
BBK 1 inch Throttle Bbod Spacer
Mass Air Flow Body
Second Step:
Headers, but which ones?! The borla exhaust bolted straight up to the stock location, and I need to know which headers will go along with them, or if i need a new Y-Pipe. Help?
Third Step:
LS-6 Intake Manifold and Predator Module from Diablosport
I plan on doing all of this myself. Any hints, tips, and input appreciated. Thanks.

I just looked at some headers at ls1speed.com and the first pair of headers are by SLP and they have, compared to the other headers, a pretty crazy design. Why is that?

For headers, Best bang for buck....MAC midlength headers with the ORY, or Dynatech long-tube stepped headers with a custom Y PPC
THE BEST header for the LS1 cars is what has previously been known as the Groty or Grotyohann header http://www.provenperformanceconcepts.com/
Get some NGK spark plugs and Tayler Spiral Pro Wires. Do the throttle body bypass mod (free). My $.02

When you do headers make sure you get a MAF translator.
Helps quite a bit.

What made you come to that conclusion that Hookers are better? HP? Ability to cool? I dunno much about headers, I know they get the exhuast out quicker and more efficiently. Help? Thanks
