I am new to this board and I wanted to get some pics up so people could check them out. This is only part of my collection because I moved to a new apartment a few months ago and I haven't been able to put my shelves up yet so they are still boxed up. There is one model in my collection that I am currently madifying. It is a 1948 Ford Convertable. I am adding wheels and interior from a Chevy SSR concept and and engine from a 1966 Pro Street Nova with custom peuter intake and carbs. Please feel frre to ask any questions about any of the models.

Nice cars.
Where did you get that yellow 57 Chevy? I have been looking for a good model of a 55, 56, or 57 Bel Air but haven't found one yet...til now. That thing is sweet!

The '57 chevy is a 1:24 scale Danbury Mint model. Danbury Mint is a well known company that makes all sorts of collectables. This model is highly detailed. It costed me around $120. They also produce a '55 Chevy pro street that is 1:16 scale. The cost of that one is $199. I ordered that one also but sent it back because I was getting a new apartment and couldn't afford the model at the time.

That kind of sucks that it's gonna cost me at least ~$130 if I want to get one.
There is one on Ebay right now for over $150.
It just looks too cool to pass up though...

You can order it direclty through Danbury Mint for $113 with stretch payments. I bought that model with soemthing like 4 payments of $28. (I might be wrong) If you read "Scale Auto" magazime Danbury Mint has an advertisement with the yellow '57 on top. They alos have other muscle/custom cars in the ad.

No offense, but I think you guys are crazy for spending over $100 on a die-cast car. I collect them, but I dont spend over $50, unless it is a special edition or something.

I'm pretty cheap. I buy almost everything on ebay for less than twenty bucks. Just got an Jag XJ220 for $5.50. You just have to search for the people who forget to put 1:18 or 1/18 on the name. Often they never get bid on. :smoka:
