it looks like a rear wing, thats been turned around
just stupid....

i would really love to see that in a flow tunnel... see how the air actually flow... from what i can see, it looks like the airt is going to slam intothe front of the car and instead of just flowing over its going to snag the front lip of that damned wing and go under it... thus producing a positive lift, first off ripping up on the hood so becareful it is lachted well, i hope to god they supply hood pins, and second its going to pull the front end off the bloody ground... leading to heavy understeer at speed b/c it's simply not turning, not to mention it's goin to f' with the flow of the rest of the air over the car making it even worse... thats just my .02 i could be horribly wrong but i'd have to see the test results of it in a wind tunnel... not to mention how ugly it is...

naa, I'll stick with my double decker wing on my hood, thanx though.

hood spoilers arent useless.....they infact do keep the front of the car down....I have seen a few on 4G'z and they do help keep the front end down at high speeds while shifing gears....this one isnt the nicest one but they are infact functional.

You actually think that those wings on the hood help? How? They're generic wings.. They aren't windtunnel tested or anything like that, some kid just rivets it onto the hood.. Those wings are by no means designed for function, purley looks..

C'mon man.. A spoiler on the front of the car would be a good idea if one was developed properly that actually functioned at keeping the front of the car down.. BUT a lot of Civics don't even go fast enough to benefit from a spoiler, AND the hood would be probably the worst place on a car to put it..

I dont ever recall saying this one was wintunnel tested and proven to work well. I just said that a proper one does work, and well might I add.

You know you could just get a front spoiler on the bottom where its supposed to be. Some ground effect kits are wind tunnel tested and do increase the downforce on the front of the car

If you havent noticed, the fastest civics in the world only have a front air dam package. There are civics that go over 180mph on the salt flats and all they have is a huge air dam. there is no "hood spoiler". that shit is purely for rice-a-tronic pleasure.

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! im gonna get like 14 of those wings, 3 on the hood, 4 on the roof, then im gonns have to get creative and mount them like a X on the doors, drill some holes in the rr. glass and mount a few down the back of the hatch itself. Shit im even gonna mount them in place of a body kit, they should be easy to duct tape to my front and rear bumpers... whatcha ya'll think of that???? :puke12:
